Halloween Songs
A page of free piano songs for Halloween, plus an early beginner collection and a late elementary/early intermediate collection (not so free!).
I am growing more and more ambivalent about the celebration of Halloween, and even “Harvest Parties” trying to replace Halloween for kids who are not allowed to go trick-or-treating. When I was a kid, Halloween was JUST FUN. But as real witchcraft intrudes into our culture more and more, many people may sense real, palpable evil in the air.
However, the songs on my Halloween music page are just for fun. Kids like them, and the giving out of Halloween music may present opportunities to discuss more serious matters with your students, if you are so inclined!
“Monsters Everywhere” is one of the free songs you will find in the set of Halloween music for beginners at this page. Like the rest of the songs in this collection, it also comes with AlphaNotes (letters in the noteheads). You can see how easily a beginner can conquer this little piece, with all the repeated notes and the step-wise movement. And because the lyrics rhyme, little kids anticipate the answer to the riddle and rush to say “Halloween!” if you are singing as you play the tune.
