A rollicking sea chanty that went viral on YouTube

THIS IS MY FIRST POST FOR A WHOLE WEEK as my husband & I were visiting kids on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska… and the internet connection was practically non-existent! I just gave up.

But back to the matter at hand: The lyrics of this whaling song are a blast to sing! Go to my webpage to see if some of these arrangements would suit your PIANO/GUITAR students:

It is a pretty basic piano arrangement, and the fingering works VERY WELL in my humble opinion, but if it seems challenging, do try the “AlphaNotes” version; here’s what that looks like:

I just whipped up a new guitar tab setting, in Am:

That’s page one. Pretty easy melody for even a beginner to flatpick. And the chords are downright FUN (all except that darn F chord… oh well, good practice!).
